Industrial Consortium

This is the archived website for the Catalysis Center for Energy Innovation (CCEI), an Energy Frontier Research Center
funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. CCEI operated from 2009 to 2024 at the University of Delaware.

Overview

As a multi-institutional research center, CCEI harnessed a synergy of faculty and industrial expertise that created opportunities for technology transfer, innovation, and information flow. Through the creation of cutting-edge research projects based on shared interests and needs, CCEI joined forces with a slate of industrial partners. CCEI leadership and faculty worked with industrial consortium program members to define needs and carry out research to meet project specific milestones. These collaborations maximized efforts and leveraged funds while advancing discovery and development of viable catalytic technologies for applications in renewable energy. The goals of the industrial consortium program were to:

  • Promote technology transfer and deliverables with cost-efficient project management
  • Provide a globally competitive advantage in catalytic renewable energy engineering for industrial consortium members
  • Produce excellent engineers and scientists to work on catalytic technologies for energy innovation
